PB&J to the rescue!

PB&J for when it’s hot! The heat (and so many other things) can make cooking feel unwanted and or impossible. PB&J is a snack or meal that I’ve got in my rotation that feels like nourishment for my inner kid. Prep is easy, and I’ve put a lot of thought into my experience of PB&J. I remember my disgust response when my PB&J from school lunch would be smashed with too much jelly, and I’d go bargaining for trades for more appealing options. Today I make mine with Peanut Butter from the grocery store grinder (which not all stores have), because the texture is on point for me. This open-face snack hit the spot. I put a nice layer of the PB on some of my favorite bread, and top it with a pool (but not too thick) of jam from Ayako and Family the company lovingly run by my brilliant friend Sako. If you are local to Seattle and are a jam fan check them out! There is not one way to PB&J! Try out the things that make your heart sing and fill ya with delight.
